QualGroup was started in 2014 by Vijo Madappilly Jose and Riya Cherian, who between them bring 20+ years of healthcare experience — nursing, infection prevention and infection control — from before they built a cleaning company. That background matters more than it might sound.

In healthcare, cleaning isn’t judged on whether a surface looks clean — it’s judged on whether it actually is, because the consequences of getting it wrong are serious. That’s a different mindset to “wipe it until it looks fine,” and it’s the mindset our founders brought into QualGroup: prioritising the areas and surfaces that matter most for hygiene, being deliberate about high-touch points, and building a repeatable process instead of relying on individual cleaners doing their own thing.

For a home, that translates into practical differences: which areas get prioritised, how thoroughly high-touch points are treated, and how consistently the job is done, regardless of which specialist is assigned to it. It’s also why we’re upfront when something is outside the scope of a standard deep clean — a genuinely hygiene-focused approach means telling you the truth about what a service can and can’t achieve, not overselling it.
