Training is part of our DNA. QualGroup’s founders, Vijo Madappilly Jose and Riya Cherian, bring over a decade of experience as qualified healthcare professionals. Their insights into the critical importance of hygienic environments and stringent sanitation standards led to the inception of QualGroup in 2014.

Getting Started: On-the-Job Training
When new staff join QualGroup, we lay the groundwork by providing in-depth training from the outset. This includes:
Immediate Hands-On Experience
- Two weeks of intensive mentoring from an experienced staff member
- New employees are paired with buddies who have experience cleaning your site and understand your requirements and specifications. ‘Site-specific induction sheets’ provide clear expectations on what is
- needed for each client, along with potential health & safety hazards to look out for.
Early Skills Development
- Toolbox training packs and talks provide guidance around health and safety and service delivery in a comfortable and constructive environment.
- Staff receive practical demonstrations of essential cleaning skills and training on how to properly use the equipment.
- Our ‘Clean For Success Manual’ provides colour-coded, easy-to-understand, step-by-step instructions for each task with clear guidelines and visual aids to ensure that nothing is left to guesswork.
- Our manuals, SOPs and comprehensive resources clarify every element of the cleaning technician’s role so they can hit the ground running and return to it for continual reinforcement over time.
Improvement Through Feedback

- Clients have the ability to share feedback at their convenience through a communications book, which is relayed to staff to promptly correct any issues that may arise.

High-Performance Cleaning (HPC) Training

- The founder of HPC, Bridget Gardner, is brought in occasionally to provide live, in-depth education and coaching sessions for our team’s continual skill development.
Learning Essential Skills
- Vijo and our management team provide regular workshops to continually upskill staff in core competencies.
- These include carpet cleaning techniques, floor strip sealing and polishing, proactive problem solving, health & safety compliance, chemical handling, and customer service excellence
